USA PRESIDENT OBAMA VISIT FORBIDDEN VARADERO BEACH IN CUBA
VARADERO CUBA: President Obama will get to see many beautiful Cuban Beaches that have been off limits to Americans traveling to Cuba that book just Havana hotels. Now they will all get to see the Jewel of Cuban Beaches Varadero winner of "The Worlds Best Beach" The US president will make his historic trip to Varadero Beach one hour from Havana Cuba on 21-22 March with thousands of Cubans anxious to get a glimpse of the American President and his family. Cuban beaches are already experiencing a international tourism boom and March is traditionally its busiest month with visitors from Canada, Italy,, France, Germany, England leading the pack. The Obama visit has put additional strain on Cuba hotels that have already been over booked to capacity for much of the high season.Varadero Cuba Best BeachMany Cuban Hotel including the World Famous Mafia Hotel The Capri, Panorama, & Hotel Nacional as well as half of Parque Central and potentially other hotels have been told to send all guests to Varadero beach resort, an hour’s drive east of Havana, is Cuba’s most sought after tourism destination, with sandy white beaches, shimmering waters and plenty of fine luxury Cuban hotels.
However Varadero beach has been traditionally off limits to Americans as US restrictions on travel to the island expressly forbid tourism in Cuba. Americans are limited to authorized travel such as educational and cultural exchanges. This means most US visitors are concentrated in Havana, where there are lots of cultural sites and activities, a rocky seafront and scarce hotel rooms.
American Tourism will be exploding now that President Obama is in Varadero as many US visitors are surrounded by white sand, turquoise water and all you can eat and drink bars and buffets. Cuban Online travel Clubs were not ready for this invasion as it has given the long deserved attention that it has craved for over 50 years. Following the US-Cuban detente announced by Obama and the Cuban president, Raúl Castro, in December 2014, American visits to Cuba soared 77% in 2015 to 161,000 visitors. Cuba is expecting a similar increase this year.
President Obama, a Democrat, has removed travel restrictions to Americans to Cuba the once-forbidden land as well as some other Cuban Investment trade barriers. But only Republican Congress, can lift the US embargo and its ban on tourism, in place since the early 1960s.
